William Street lies parallel to Melville Street and Shandwick Place, just round the corner from Princes Street.
If you like browsing round designer clothes shops, eating in quaint restaurants or
having a drink in either a trendy bar or a traditional Edinburgh pub then William Street
can give you the lot!
Princes Street, with its range of high street shops, is just a minute away
(although it's nearly a mile long!).
From there you can walk to the Royal Mile and the Castle (15 minutes) or take a bus to any other part
of the city or even further afield (have you heard of Rosslyn Chapel?).
Edinburgh Zoo is a 10 minute bus ride away as is the Palace of Holyrood.
You are also just a 10 minute walk from the Dean Gallery (featuring works by Edinburgh's father of
pop art, Eduardo Poalozzi) and the Edinburgh Gallery of Modern Art.
This also means that you are about the same distance from the Water of Leith footpath,
